Established in 1982, Father & Son Publishing publishes high-quality works that represent some of the best in the market categories and genres we serve. We began our career with publishing non-fiction books and expanded rapidly into historical fiction books, especially those with stories set in Florida, which we call Floridiana books. Later, we added a line of quality cookbooks, children and youth books, DVDs and CDs for our younger audience or those who are looking for books teaching wholesome values without all the violence and subject matter not suitable for young readers. We are proud to announce that two of our children's books are accepted by the Just Read ,Florida! reading program and on the Summer Recommended Reading List.
Our president, Lance Coalson, has a degree in Printing Management from Georgia Southern University, with over 40 years of book design, editing and manufacturing experience, having printed over 8,000 titles in the span of those years. Coalson served on the founding board of the Florida Publishers Association and has vast experience and expertise in all book industry printing and binding methods, including the mechanical and library binding methods necessary for some specialty applications and for those projects requiring BMI specifications and textbook specification criteria.
In the Inspirational category, we publish books about historic Christianity to serve the diverse interests and concerns of evangelical readers. We have a vision for building up the body of Christ through books that are relevant, intelligent, and engaging. We publish titles for lay Christians on topics such as discipleship, spirituality, encouragement, relationships, marriage, and the intersection of Christianity and culture. We feel our books are a good ministry resource for church leaders and laymen alike who are interested in growing in knowledge and discipleship in their daily Christian walk.
All our titles incorporate top quality materials, with excellent print and bind quality, all representing an excellent value at reasonable prices. For those bargain-hunting customers, be sure to inquire about our "scratch and dent" selection of books for great deals on those with slight imperfections.
