Cindy Freeman Black is manager of The Wild Plum Tea Room in the mountain resort town of Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Cindy learned the value of good cooking through preparing family meals with her mother as she was growing up in Dublin, Georgia. Her degree in Home Economics with a B.S. in Family and Consumer Services from Georgia Southern University equipped her for the business of food preparation and furthered her adventuresome spirit when it comes to the kitchen. Her skills in cooking and restaurant management continue to develop as she specializes in creative desserts for The Wild Plum Tea Room.
An active and caring person, Cindy is widely known through her volunteer leadership with Smoky Mountain Resort Ministries and the Sevier County Habitat for Humanity. She holds membership in the National Association of Resort and Leisure Ministers and the Professional Ski Instructors of America. When she is not in the kitchen, Cindy likes to ski, rollerblade or walk the mountains of Tennessee. |
